What Matters Most

Lately a lot of emotions have been coming at full force. They have been ranging from joy, happiness, stress, anger, hurt, pain.

I don't like the negative feelings. It's not who I am. It's not who I want to be.

I've decided that changing these negative emotions is something I need to work on.

I have always found comfort in reading talks from church leaders. Conference talks are my favorite. Last night I went onto Mormon messages searching for some comfort. That is where I found President Monson's What Matter's Most (video above). Peace is what I instantly felt after I listened to his words. I have decided that each week I want to pick a conference talk or any talk from one of the authorities and focus on it. Each day I want to read through it and ponder the words. I already do this each Sunday bringing an Ensign to church and reading through it. These words are so influential and uplifting. That is what I want my life to be like. I love being joyful and happy. Not down and angry.

This first week I am focusing on Finding Joy in the Journey by President Monson. It goes along with the video clip I have posted.

I've chosen this talk because it talks about what is most important in our lives and what is not. That is what I need to focus on; remembering the people in my life and remembering why I love and care for them. Why they are important to me. I need to show them why I love them.

They do not love that do not show their love.- William Shakespeare.

You are such a beautiful person. Not only physically, but spiritually also. I thank you for inspiring me today(and bringing a tear to my eyes)! You know I am only a phone call away if you need me. I'm not great with advice, but I can listen. Love you! - mom
