Mormon Messages

One of the many things I enjoy to watch online is the Mormon Messages at lds.org. I am usually pretty good at keeping up with the messages that they post every so often, but lately I haven't been. Listening to the prophet and other leaders of the church makes me feel so good, and I can feel the spirit. The feeling of love and comfort is always so strong.

It had been awhile so tonight I decided to catch up on the videos that I had missed.

The first one that I watched was a message from President Monson, and how we will all meet again in the next life. He shared a story from when he was a young man during the time of WWII. This is an era in which I have always been interested in learning about. I'm not going to go into detail on what he talked about. I urge you to go and listen to it for yourselves, and if you are not familiar with Mormon Messages, then listen and and watch the other videos. You can do so by clicking on the link in the first paragraph.

The video I want to share with you is of Stephanie Nielson. I'm sure some of you are familiar with her story for I have seen her link on your blogs. I have read through her blog once, but that was a long time ago. For those of you who have not heard of her; Stephanie and her husband were survivors of a near-fatal plane crash. She was in a coma for three months, and suffers from burns covering her whole body. I also wont go into detail of this video because I want all of you to watch it. She shares her story and her love for the Saviour. As I watched this I felt the strength and love that she had.

For many of you who knew me as I was growing up, I had my own challenge that made my life difficult. I looked different and struggled with my self image. I'm not going into details because it is something that I do not feel comfortable sharing with just anyone, but I mention it now because after I watched this clip I to a small degree know how Stephanie feels. It is hard having people stare at you, and to try and ignore it. It was hard to stay strong and to work through that trial. Watching and listening to Stephanie's words made me realise how blessed I am. How blessed I am to have worked through my trials, and to feel good about myself. How blessed I am to have the gospel that helps me to understand and know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that I am his daughter.

Her strength is amazing. I hope when you watch it you can feel it too. For those of you who don't already follow her blog, the link in on the side under Other Sites I Enjoy, and is titled Nienie Dialogues.
